Moving away from the seasonal model, Battlefield 2042 will now progress with a more fluid approach. DICE will partially rely on recycling to keep the FPS fresh, with past events making a return in rotation, starting with “The Leviathan Awakens” and its temporary mode, Neutralization, by the end of July. Following that, “Arkangel Directive” will return with the Control mode, “Crimson Front” will bring back the Front Lines mode, and the “Holiday Protocol” will make an appearance for Christmas. Players will also have the opportunity to recover previously missed cosmetics. Additionally, DICE will introduce a new mode to celebrate Halloween during a four-week event, featuring both free and paid battle passes.
